THE AMANSIE CENTRAL NASPA 2024/2025 SERVICE YEAR SUPPORT EDUCATION WITH 15,000 EXERCISE BOOKS, PENS AND MATHEMATICAL SET CAUTIONS STUDENTS AGAINST SOCIAL VICES ON 9TH SEPTEMBER, 2025.
The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) in the Amansie Central District has made a significant contribution to education in the area by donating 15,000 exercise books,pens and mathematical sets to basic school students.
The educative seminar took place at Tweapease and Aketechieso electoral which comprises of towns like Hianp3nika,Aboo,Amamom Anyankyerem, Tweapease and Aketekyieso.
The gesture, aimed at supporting academic work, was also coupled with an educational campaign where the personnel sensitized students on the dangers of teenage pregnancy and drug abuse.
Speaking during the presentation, leaders of the Association noted that the donation formed part of their commitment to give back to society while helping to address critical challenges that hinder academic progress among students.
The personnel during the tour went with some dignitaries, Mr Douglas Osei Mensah (NSA Director), Mr Isaac Kaati (NCCE Director), Mrs Esther Alhassan (Girl Child Cordinator), Mr Isaac Agyemang (Social Welfare Director).They emphasized the need for students to remain focused on their studies, avoid early sexual activity, and resist peer pressure that could lead to substance abuse, stressing that education remains the key to building a brighter future.
Teachers and school authorities who received the items expressed their gratitude to NASPA for the timely support, assuring that the books,pens and math sets would be distributed fairly to benefit all deserving students. Sponsorship from Amansie Central DCE(Hon. Emmanuel Obeng Agyemang AKA Pedro),Chief Imam (Nana Sheik Ibrahim), Elder Vincent Ben Ameyaw(Education Director), TW mines, Hon. Appiah Francis(Tweapease Assembly Member), Hon.Dangote, Dom Peace Radio, St Peter’s R/C J.H.S Headteacher and Drama Club), Assembly Staff Members etc invested into the program made the seminar lively.
Some of the students also expressed joy over the donation, noting that it would ease the financial burden on their parents while boosting their morale in school.
The Amansie Central NASPA called on other stakeholders, including government, NGOs, and corporate bodies, to continue investing in education and youth development in order to secure a better future for the district and the country at large
