THE PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE HELD A MEETING ON THURSDAY 10TH JULY, 2025.

According to the local government act, (Act 936) section 27 (1a), The Public Relations and Complaints Committee is mandated to educate the public on the activities of the District Assembly.

The committee therefore engaged the citizens of Amansie Central through radio sensitization at Dom Peace Radio Station on Friday, 23rd May 2025 to educate them on the existence and the roles of PRCC.

The committee also arranged for some heads of department to engage the public through radio sensitization on the dealings/activities of the district assembly on Friday, 30th May 2025.

The committee further on Thursday, 10th July, 2025 held a stakeholders’ forum at Tweapease to sensitise Hon. Assembly Members, Unit Committee Members and nananoom of Tweapease and Suhyenso electoral areas on their expected and separate roles in their communities.

Based on the findings and outcome of the sensitization programmes, the Committee is recommending to the General Assembly;

  1. That management should resource the PRCC to embark on sensitization for other electoral areas as it was the major demand by the stakeholders.
  2. That the committee should be resourced to engage on the radio sensitization at other radio stations other than just Dom Peace Radio to ensure that the education reaches all citizenry of the district.
  3. That management should come up with an itinerary to ensure that by the end of the year, responsible officers engage the public through the radio sensitization to educate the public on key activities of the assembly, which would be supervised by the committee (PRCC).
