FIRST ORDINARY MEETING OF THE THIRD SESSION OF THE SIXTH ASSEMBLY
Amansie Central District Assembly held its First Ordinary Meeting of the 3rd Session of the 6th Assembly on 26th May, 2026, the meeting commenced at 9:00 am. During the meeting, the District Chief Executive for Amansie Central, Hon. Emmanuel Obeng-Agyemang, through his sessional address outlined the state of the district, highlighting achievements and challenges across key sectors. He reported improvements in administration, security, agriculture, education, healthcare, sanitation, and infrastructure development. The Assembly generated GH¢8.43 million in revenue by April 2026, while ongoing efforts continue to enhance revenue mobilization and service delivery. Significant interventions included the distribution of 8,184 birds under the “Nkoko Nketenkete” programme, the construction and rehabilitation of educational and health facilities, sanitation improvements, support for vulnerable groups through LEAP and disability programmes, and progress toward operationalizing the Ghana National Fire Service. While acknowledging challenges such as youth unemployment, illegal mining, and security concerns, the DCE reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to improving livelihoods, strengthening infrastructure, promoting environmental sustainability, and fostering inclusive governance through collaboration with stakeholders to accelerate the district’s socio-economic development.
