On Monday, 16th March, 2026, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, convened an open forum with the leadership and key stakeholders of the Amansie Central District to deliberate on fee fixing and the enforcement of Assembly by-laws.

During the session, he issued clear directives to guide implementation, emphasizing transparency and fairness in local revenue mobilization. The Assembly was instructed to request and verify all relevant certificates, licenses, and permits from businesses before issuing operational stickers.

He also highlighted the cooperative mining initiative, which aims to encourage responsible mining practices while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities.
