6TH MARCH 2026
The Amansie Central District Assembly joined the rest of Ghana on 6th March 2026 to commemorate the nation’s 69th Independence Anniversary under the national theme, “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope.” The celebration brought together traditional authorities, Assembly members, heads of departments, security services, teachers, students, religious leaders, and community members to reflect on Ghana’s journey of independence and national development.
The event featured a colourful parade by selected schools within the district, cultural performances, patriotic songs, and addresses by district officials and dignitaries. Participants were encouraged to uphold the values of patriotism, discipline, unity, and hard work as essential ingredients for national progress. The celebration also provided an opportunity to recognize the contributions of students, teachers, and community stakeholders toward the development of the district.
The occasion successfully promoted national pride, community participation, and social cohesion while inspiring citizens, particularly the youth, to contribute meaningfully towards building a prosperous and hopeful future for Ghana
