The Education Subcommittee met on Wednesday 9th July, 2025 at the Assembly Conference hall to deliberate on significant issues regarding education in the District.

1. The Assembly should liaise with the District Education Office to facilitate the posting of newly qualified NTC- trained teachers to address the teaching staff’s shortage in the District.

2. The Assembly should establish a taskforce, equipped with vehicle to monitor and intervene in cases of students who have relinquished school to engage in “galamsey” and gambling activities in the District.

3. The Assembly should support the community-led initiatives by providing building materials for projects such as teachers accommodation.
