1ST GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF THE 1ST SESSION OF THE 5TH ASSEMBLY OF ACDA WAS HELD ON 7TH JULY, 2020 AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER.

The meeting was called to order at exactly 11:04am with an opening prayer by Hon. Joseph Appiah Arthur.

The Presiding Member, Hon. Isaac Osei-Duah welcomed all members present. He acknowledged the presence of the HODs, the Hon. Assembly members, the Nananom, the DCE, MP, DCD and all invited members present.

Hon. Samuel Kwabena Dapaah moved a motion for the acceptance of the previous minutes and was seconded by Hon. Mathew Abotsi.

The EC urged honorable assembly members to continue to help educate the people of their communities to observe the COVID-19 Protocols. With regards to the registration, she noted that 14 centers were set up for the exercise which started on 30th June, 2020. The second phase started on 6th July, 2020 at 13 centers and will end on 11th July, 2020.

She mentioned that after the exercise, all the 27 centers will be set up for voting if nothing changes from the head office however, any changes will be communicated to the honorable members through the presiding member. She stated that there will be a 3 days mop-up exercise after the registration.  She then elaborated on the arrangement and procedures of how the registration process would be carried out from center to center.

The EC Director informed the house that the total number of citizens registered so far is 8271 which is 37 more than the previous registration.
