The inaugural ceremony of the District Census Implementation Committee (DCIC) for the 2020 Population and Housing Census (PHC) was held on Thursday, 20^th February, 2020 at the District Assembly Conference Hall.

The primary objective of the DCIC is to oversee the Conduct of the 2020 PHC. The DCIC members are District Director of Education, District Director of Health, District Information Officer, District Statistics Officer, Director of NCCE, District Census Officer, Representative, Traditional Council and District Coordinating Director as the Chairman of the Committee.

The Committee was sworn into office by the Presiding Member, Hon. Isaac Osei-Duah on behalf of the District Chief Executive. A brief presentation was delivered by Mr. Kwadwo Asante-Mensah, Director of Administration, Ghana Statistical Service. He addressed on the pre-census planning, enumeration and post enumeration activities, and highlighted on the numerous benefits of the PHC data to the district and the country.
